Hi, I’m Alexis — a self-taught baker, cake designer, and entrepreneur with a passion for parties, buttercream, and beautiful confections. What began as a creative way to pay off college loans while studying English at Temple and Arcadia has blossomed into a full-time love affair with cakes, cookies, cupcakes, and cake pops.

My aesthetic blends whimsical charm with refined elegance — often described as “too pretty to eat.” And yes, the name Novel Baker is a play on words: a nod to my love of literature and a tribute to the unique, narrative-driven cakes I create.
