This Art-Center Wedding was Picture Perfect! I had the honor of creating a sweet table and wedding cake for Rob and Kelly Fratamico. Their gorgeous wedding was held at the newly renovated Abington Art Center.
Since the theme of the wedding was art, the bride’s family showcased their beautiful creations at the reception. As guests strolled about the galleries, there were loads of amazing portraits, landscapes, oils, watercolors and the most cherished: the bride’s painted keepsake boxes. Kelly’s favorite cake is coconut. Hence, the wedding cake, a 3-tier coconut cake “framed” like a picture. She adores sunflowers which were the perfect topper!
The cake is custom colored to match the bridesmaids dresses. It is the cake version of their gowns. The cake is a cream cheese pound filled with Italian meringue. And the flavors are vanilla bean.
Because there has to be Chocolate Cake
Since the focal cake is vanilla, the cupcakes on the towers are chocolate. One tower is frosted with a dutch cocoa American buttercream. The other tower is frosted with a vanilla bean Italian meringue.
You need Cookies at a Shower
Sprinkled around the table are plates of gems and caramel chocolate pretzels. This table includes chocolate dipped mini oreos, caramel drizzled chocolate chip cookies, and french macarons!
One of my favorite designs is the personalized mason jar cookies. It matches the candy table mason jars. A fuzzy pic but a neat way to celebrate the bride and groom.
Hats off to the Bridesmaids for creating a smashing event. Congratulations Lauren and Matt!
