This cupcake tower and cookie display were created for a little lad’s blessing celebration at Saint Cyril Social Hall. For this special occasion, we doused the table in sunshine and a dazzling shade of baby blue.
Robbie’s Mom, Violet, reached out to us to put together a cookie assortment of macarons, petite hearts surrounding a name plaque, and fancy chocolate chips. This cookie collection encircled a charming cupcake tower and topper cake.
For this party, our chocolate chip cookies were dressed in salted caramel with a light blue chocolate drizzle, sprinkled with a collection of colored sanding sugars.
The flavors on the cupcake tower were vanilla, chocolate, and fall’s hands-down favorite—pumpkin!
And those baby blue liners against the sparkling sunlight—a bit of heaven on earth—just like our guest of honor! Happy Blessing Day Robbie!!!
This Semi-Naked beauty was created as a surprise cake for my husband’s birthday. I wanted something trendy and these naked beauties are especially gorgeous adorned with natural elements such as berries, flowers, greens, and figs.
The Semi-Naked is so popular—it is taking over the buttercream world. But for guys? It was only a matter of time before these cakes crossed into the men’s section. This design was perfect because it’s organic and rustic–not girly. I just needed some figs. And with the birthday boy in tow, I set off on a quick fig run.
With a vacant fig display starring me in the face, I wanted to call Mr. Wegman and discuss this inventory situation. Without saying a word, I calmly used my telepathic abilities, or maybe it was peacefully written across my face, or, maybe yet, I actually had a slight meltdown and said: “I NEED THOSE FIGS! THERE’S GOTTA BE A FIG SOMEWHERE IN THIS STORE!”
Fearlessly, the man of my dreams embarked on a mission to track down the last box of figs in the store. Ten minutes and two manager conversations later, I saw a hand rise above the heads in the produce aisle. Perched atop that hand was a gloriously ripe box of figs. They (the figs and the hand) were a beautiful thing to behold! It is seriously a dream 60th celebration to dodge and weave the Saturday Wegmans’ crowd to ascertain the last container of ripe fruit.
This superhero of men was unknowingly shopping for his own cake on his actual birthday. He was also unknowingly soon to be the first guy to go semi-naked with the help of a Novel Baker Cake. Every day is a celebration with you: naked, semi-naked, or fully dressed in buttercream!
A Fairy Garden Cake adds a bit of birthday magic to any party and this one celebrating Audrey’s 4th was especially magical. Sprinkling just the right amount of fairy dust into the batter is key. And this cake became a bit more whimsical and wondrous as a result. Legend has it that when the parents’ aren’t looking, little ones are a bit lighter on their feet–even airbourne for a second or two.
Audrey’s fairy party included a cupcake tower of vanilla cupcakes sprinkled with white and pink flowers. Her tower topper was a chocolate cake covered in a rustic buttercream with pink and white flowers and a fairy garden door embossed with “Audrey’s Fairy Garden”.
A special thanks to her mom, Jennifer, for reaching out to us! Happy Day Audrey!!! You really are the sweetest and fairest in the land!
